COMMENT:

More people, more GDP. The leading countries in GDP benefit from large populations, especially China and India. The population for the European Union estimated for July, 2010, is 491.4 million, for the U.S. 310.2 million. The per capita GDP for the U.S. is higher than that of the European Union.
